Before you start a game, you can pause in the lobby area and change the game rules to reduce the points required and the round limit to make games as short as possible.
So when I say to play games, you'll be doing it in Creative mode with one of the available levels aboveground. Creative mode is what you'll be in for local shared controller games. You will never need to use Challenge mode for anything.

It can be confusing at first when you start the game because it isn't intuitive at all as to how to start a game and what to do to start unlocking achievements. So as long as you have the time to grind out all of the achievements, this completion will be completely stress-free. There is nothing difficult about this completion whatsoever since you can do every achievement by yourself with a single controller except the online ones, which can be done with two controllers instead of playing online with others. As far as achievements go, there are only a couple achievements for doing a specific thing, a bunch for collectibles/unlockables, and all of the rest are cumulative. Whoever reaches the score limit or has the most points when the rounds run out is the winner. The games are round-based, and you get points for reaching the goal as well as bonus points for various things such as killing other players with traps, collecting coins, etc.
